FISH is Hawaii’s local solution for marine and coastal science and resource management. We also service other Pacific Islands including American Samoa, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Our team has worked across numerous disciplines, including environmental and fisheries sciences, natural resource management, conservation planning, human dimensions research, operations, government services, remediation, and compliance. For example, our experienced fisheries observers and Protected Species Observers (PSOs) work at sea and shoreside to collect the data critical to support the sustainable management of living marine resources. We also help administer fisheries science research and monitoring programs to obtain commercial catch and effort data by gear, season, and location, with detailed information on species, length, and weight composition for life history analyses. These efforts support management of living resources. Our diverse experience ranges from providing quality environmental services to NOAA, Coast Guard, Hawaii Division of Aquatic Resources, and City & County of Honolulu to local Non-Profit and academic institutions.
