Fishery Management Analyst – Data, Scientific Analysis & Compliance Support
Job Summary
FISH is seeking to hire (3) Fishery Management Analysts – Data, Scientific Analysis & Compliance Support to support a contract with NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Office of Sustainable Fisheries (OSF). These are full-time, primarily remote positions anticipated to begin August 1, 2026. Hiring for these positions will be contingent on contract award. FISH will be operating under its FLOAT joint venture with Lynker Corporation, a NOAA ProTech Fisheries 2.0 prime contract holder.* The Fishery Management Analyst – Data, Scientific Analysis & Compliance Support will support development of fishery management actions, scientific analyses, and regulatory documentation.
Responsibilities
Duties of the Fishery Management Analyst – Data, Scientific Analysis & Compliance Support will include the following:
- Draft and support Fishery Management Plans (FMPs) and regulatory documents
- Conduct scientific research and analysis
- Support development of management alternatives
- Assist with NEPA environmental analyses
- Analyze fisheries data and technical materials
- Support regulatory tracking and documentation
- Assist with Administrative Records
- Coordinate with Regional Offices and Atlantic HMS
- Support Council meetings and technical groups
- Prepare reports and briefing materials
Deliverables:
- Supporting documentation for fisheries management actions
- Scientific and environmental analyses
- Administrative Records and documentation
- Technical reports
- Monthly progress reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in fisheries science, marine biology, environmental science, natural resource management, public policy, or a related field
- Experience supporting scientific, regulatory, or analytical work
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
The ideal Fishery Management Analyst – Data, Scientific Analysis & Compliance Support will have the following:
- Experience supporting fisheries management or environmental compliance
- Familiarity with fisheries science or policy
- Experience supporting technical documentation or analysis
- Exposure to NOAA, NMFS, or similar programs
Place of Performance:
Primarily remote.
Travel:
Limited travel may be required.

Compensation
$70,000 – $105,000 Annually
